Me and Journalism

What best describes me at the moment is Journalism. My profession allows me the opportunity to meet people of different backgrounds, from heads of state to the ordinary Ugandan telling their story. There is no better profession, being in the front seat of every breaking story and event, and taking part in it. Not to mention that it is a communication tool that plays a role in making the world a better place for humanity.

Me and Development Cooperation from the North

The European Union (EU) funds a number of different projects in line with development and cooperation around the world, including Africa. It is the most important donor community and facilitator towards building infrastructures, such as roads, ICT, healthcare and other government projects, that trickle down to the rural communities. The EU is also important in the public service sector, promoting good governance through civic education, in particular facilitating free and fair elections and election monitoring. It is the biggest funder of the Uganda Electoral Commission.

Me and My Home Continent

Famously described as the Pearl of Africa by Sir Winston Churchill, Uganda is one of the 54 nations that make up the African Continent. A continent with the newest state, the Republic of South Sudan. It is also the continent with the most diverse people and the richest culture. The African continent is by far the most scenic and most attractive in the World, with the largest number of parks, rich in some of the World’s rarest animals.
