Me and Journalism

A journalist is what I was born to be. Journalism is truly a calling for me - a chance to improve people’s lives in my continent in small and big ways and a chance to portray my continent for what it really is, i.e. a beautiful, hopeful and potentially powerful continent.

Me and Development Cooperation from the North

Personally, I greatly applaud the efforts of the East4South project, for reaching out to African journalists in this manner. We African journalists hardly ever get this kind of exposure and opportunity to work with Eastern European journalists. For those of us who have never travelled outside the country to experience foreign cultures, this will be an eye-opening platform. This project will definitely force me to step out of my comfort zone as a journalist, as I embark on various assignments outside my usual genre while working on this project with my partner.
I hope that with time, this program will expand to include more participants on both sides of the world.

Me and My Home Continent

I have so much hope for my continent, especially when I see small start-up businesses of college students and graduates sprouting everyday. It gives me the hope that despite the economic down-turn, education and advancement in technology has enabled our generation to sustain itself and build better futures.
