Me and Journalism
Journalism is a weapon more dangerous than nuclear weapons, capable to either destruct or construct. My focus is however on the benefits that this weapon can bring to the world, such as poverty alleviation, fight against corruption, transparency, adding value and promoting entrepreneurship in my country.
Me and Development Cooperation from the North
I am of the view that development is an improvement of the way a service is being delivered or an improvement in the way of life for people in a particular locality. However, development this seems to be only concentrated in the developed countries despite Africa having all the vital resources. As an African journalist, I will not sleep until I see that development in my country is equitably distributed and knock out the social classes for it to be meaningful to all.
Me and My Home Continent
Africa is undisputedly the richest continent on the globe, endowed with adequate human and natural resources needed for social and economic development. My home country, Zambia, boasts of 73 tribes and countless tourist attractions like Mosi-ou-Tunya (The Smoke that Thunders), one of the Seven wonders of the World, known to many as the Victoria Falls. Despite some social and economic challenges facing the continent, I could not have been born in a better continent than mother Africa.
