I graduated in social work and my passion is filmmaking. As social worker, I see social injustice from up close and filmmaking provides me with a very powerful tool to contribute in bringing about social change. I believe that this is an ideal combination, for me to become a promising journalist in the social field.
Me and Development
‘Give a person a fish and you feed him for a day, give him a rod and you feed him for life.’ This is what I believe Development Cooperation should be about. However fishing rods don’t come cheap nowadays and it takes a team to build one which lasts for a while. My commitment is to be part of such a team.
Me and Africa
My knowledge of Africa comes from my contact with Sub-Saharan African illegal immigrants in Malta. They helped me understand and appreciate their customs, cultures and traditions; but also the struggles and the serious difficulties that many countries in the African continent face. Therefore visiting Africa has became a dream for me... I thought it was far from reach, but not anymore!
