The European participants of E4S Cycle 2 - Adela, Ana, Balaz, Egle, Katarzyna, Kristina, Laura, Oana and Petr - are returning to their home countries, after having spent three weeks on a reporting trip to Sub-Saharan Africa. While reporting from the field, the ten young journalists worked alongside their African team-mates, using their newly acquired reporting skills to understand development issues. Their immersive experience in the countries they are reporting on greatly enhanced their capacity to understand the complexity of the daily problems affecting those societies.
We are looking forward to hearing about their experiences, when we meet them back in Bonn later this month. The teams will spend a week together at the Deutsche Welle Akademie, taking part in a professional training course run by audiovisual experts and finishing their media projects.
Soon, the application process for the next and final East4South cycle will be launched. So keep following this site for our weekly news.
